Predator is a 1987 scifi, action and horror motion picture directed by John McTiernan, with Schwarzenegger, Jesse Ventura, Carl Weathers, & Peter Kevin Hall. The movie has generated a follow up, Predator two ( 1990 ) and 2 crossover pictures with the Alien license : Alien vs. Predator ( 2004 ) and Aliens vs. Predator : Requiem ( 2007 ). Predator action figures have turn out to be moderately accepted. The tale follows an elite squad on a undertaking to rescue hostages from a terrorist faction in Central America. Unwittingly, the unit is hunted by an alien lifeform. Response to the movie was typically favorable, and the movie grossed US$60 million in the U. S. .

First off, I would like to say as a Predator fan and a lover of the film this figure is a dream. It's a sculpt that's awing to behold, particularly in dramatic lighting. This it the kind of predator figure that we fans have been waiting for.

I like it so much I have the Exposed , masked, and cloaked figures. But one this that all these figures have are issues. Missing pieces.

My cloaked predator was missing some fear locks. The masked predator's wrist blades weren't complete ( like the plastic failed to fill up the mold the entire way ), and my exposed predator came with 2 left feet! This isn't cool, and I emailed NECA to inform them that their quality controls is severely lacking, but I received no answer. I need this to be the coolest predator figure ever, in spite of the indisputable fact that it's torso doesn't move, but I can tell you, all of these issues truly made me angry. Particularly since with 2 left feet the figure did not stand up! So now I need to mix'n'match body parts to get a figure that looks cool and is complete. It's such a let-down considering how overwhelming it is. Get your act together NECA! This figure is good for every age they're fun to pose and to play with I got two one to pose and one to play with...yeah im a twenty-two years old man who like to play with his predator fig so what ...there are some little stuff you must know he only incorporates one caster ( the gun ) which may be employed on back or in hand also includes a med pack,cleaner kit both go on back and a spear that's a lil little I do not mind some folk do...If you need a pred with two casters get the exposed one your best chance would be to get one with the mask and one with out I might get then A.S.A.P. Before the price gos up any more I got for my two $12.99 each before shipping....Have fun with your preds : ). When I was thinking about purchasing a figure based primarily on the Predator I looked around to find one that looked good since plenty of these toy makers like to put all those moving joints on the figure and they finish up looking like junk. So I found one from NECA toys and it looked good from the pics I was having a look at so I went ahead purchased it and was hoping for the best. When it showed up I need to say it seemed being a great buy with all the detail to the way it was put together nice job NECA now I am thinking about getting the exposed Predator to go with this one. This figure is highly detailed, and is better for display rather than play. I'll say that any Alien vs. Predator fan should get one of these. They are to my mind, better than the Todd McFarlane figures from the 1st flick, being harder, and having lots more points of articulation. Overall, it's a great figure to have for any fan. This predator is superb at the graphics and detail.Some times i look at him face to face.Its sort of like hes alive.Its weapons are overwhelming its spear is a little tiny but its cool.But it can use some upgrades I only gave it four stars as it's very little ninja star came off and one of the robe pins came off and I do look after my toys and action figures.But this isn't a toy its an Action figure. You can do 2 things with it you can play with it,or you can set it on display.YOUR choice capture him or USE him to form one of the most strong PREDATOR. WOW!! This bloke's so repellent it's stunning ! With this face sculpt NECA went over the rainbow and to the moon!Okay enough of the ott comments, but NECA did a good job of making this face come to life. OK the body is essentially the same, so is the articulation but this just proves that one feature can change the general look and improve on an already great figure. NECA you brought out the beast in this man and he's one irritated dude! This is aa actually cool toy.there are some small issues but it remains cool.

On the box it shows him without his mask on and even on the internet site it does. I am able to not take off this mask. If anyone knows how please let me know. The additional arm blades on his arms aren't in the flick but they occasionally get in the way. Also the 2 wrist blades often get to shut to one another so i had to put some paper between it. The sculpt is fantastic though .

You must also tape the argument for his dagger to his legs because it falls off a lot.

The cannon is pretty cool but it is straightforward to loose. I did not loose it but my friend lost his.

Always keep the cannon attached to the thing or else you are screwed. Otherwise this is a great product. The predator spear doesn't expand and is formed out of cheap plastic. The predator has some small problems but they can simply be fixed. Children will adore this product but before you give it to them you may want to sort the problems.

The film begins with a mysterious spacecraft entering Earth's environment, then concentrates on the shoreline of Guatemala, where a special task force, controlled by Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer ( Arnold Schwarzenegger ), is ordered to save a presidential cabinet minister kidnapped by guerrilla military in Val Verde. Dutch's old armed forces buddy & now CIA officeholder, George Dillon ( Carl Weathers ), joins the squad and they go by chopper to their destination in the tropical rain forest.

As soon as inserted, the team find the leftovers of a downed helicopter and later the bodies of many skinned men. They're identified to be a division Special Forces unit, whose presence in the country mystifies Dutch. They soon make their way to a heavily secured rebel camp and take out its inhabitants quickly, save for a girl named Anna ( Elpidia Carrillo ), whom they take captive. Dutch is angered to learn the rescue mission had been a set up to get his group to break the camp, after Dillon confesses the men they found earlier disappeared in an unsuccessful rescue mission of 2 CIA agents.

As the soldiers make their way to the withdrawal point, they are noted from afar by an unfamiliar creature using thermal imaging. After members of the squad are slain mysteriously, the survivors become conscious that something in the rain forest is stalking them. Anna delivers comprehension of the creature, which has allegedly become a local legend for hunting people as trophies. Notwithstanding attempts to track down & trap the creature, the team is slowly killed one by one, until only Dutch and Anna stay put. Realizing the creature only kills those possessing arms, a wounded Dutch sends Anna weaponless to the extraction point. Dutch narrowly escapes the beast - revealed to be a shrouded, bipedal alien - by accidentally covering himself in sludge, which hides his body's heat autograph.

Dutch confronts the beast the last time, using the sludge as cover-up and a number of improvised weapons & traps to kill it. Once cornered, Dutch drops the weight from one of his traps, which falls and crushes the creature. As Dutch asks the mortally hurt alien what it is, the alien mimics his question ( in garbled English ) and then activates a time bomb on its wrist device. Dutch runs for cover as a giant blast ignites the tropical forest.
