Naruto Action Figures

Viz Media, owner of Naruto, has approved Naruto Action Figure, Manga or Comics, and Anime distribution for the Northern US production. Naruto follows a story of a young boy who dreams of becoming a Hokage, Counterpart of President, of his country someday. This boy Naruto who is literally full of big pranks, has a spirit of a nine tailed beast that has been sealed within in his body. Naruto’s first hit series is hitting distributors and retailers very hard. The Naruto series was primarily based on one-shot comic that was first published in the 1997 August issue of the Akamaru Jump.

Mattel is one of the few toy companies that were allowed by Viz media to manufacture Naruto Action Figure and merchandise and Mattel has been playing it pretty smart ever since. The Mattel Toy Company has been snagging up rights for toys especially those that are inspired by Japanese animation.

In terms of packing, the toy company went minimal this time around, using very basic designs and graphics, and with even less text. Although the action figure looks colorful and the creation of its logo is well detailed, but its overall appearance is not really anything particularly eye catching.

Crafting a 2 dimensional animation character, and popping it out into a 3 dimensional character can be very tricky than people might think. Although sculpting can be a bit challenging, Mattel did succeed in sculpting out the ideal Naruto figure. Having a fairly appropriate expression and sculpted with the right amount of detail, Mattel’s work is definitely solid. Few additional touches were also added that enhance to its overall appearance like the black lines on his cheek, and the outline of his costume.

The Naruto Action Figure stands for about 5 inches tall, and while his body cuts are not really that well defined, the figure do still match up pretty good with its source material.

The paint used range from mediocre to great, but it still was able to squeak out an above average overall appearance. Its main body parts are mostly casted in an orange plastic, but the smaller details are all painted accordingly. The action figure’s eyes face, and teeth are also above average, clearly showing how well defined his facial appearance looks like.

Most Naruto toy figures come with two Kunai daggers, which represent his funky big headed attitude. The Kunais are made out of soft rubber are designed, according to the story, to work perfectly with his action.
