Justice League Action Figures

Justice League Action FiguresAs with the Justice Society, the postulate of the Justice League was simple : to include all of DC's most well liked characters in one book ( therefore the first lineup included Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Wonder girl ). Three of DC's other surviving or revived characters, Green Arrow, Atom, and Hawkman were quickly added to the roster, the latter two having been reintroduced by Gardner Fox himself. JLA's early success was indirectly responsible for the creation of the fantastic Four.

Having successfully reintroduced a number of their golden period superhero characters ( Flash, Green Lantern, for example. ) during the late 1950s, DC Comics asked writer Gardner Fox to reintroduce the Justice Society of America. Fox, influenced by the popularity of the national Football League and Major League Baseball, decided to change the name of the team from Justice Society to Justice League.[1] The Justice League of America debuted in The Brave and the Bold twenty-eight ( 1960 ), and quickly became one of the organization's top selling titles. Fox wrote just about all of the League's adventures during the 1960s, and artist Mike Sekowsky penciled the first 5 years.

All I am able to say is wow. I actually like these figures. They're sometimes meant for collectors, so they're top of the range for sure. You can give them to your children if you need them to have the best figures on the market. The packaging is nice, I adore the half circle of protecting plastic that accommodates the figures. I collect these myself, and can truthfully say that these figures are a few of the nicest and best I have, particularly this one of Wally West, more typically called The Flash. I adore the red on this figure. It's got a lovely sheen under light. The coloring of the boots and the lightning bolt on his chest are very well done. Overall a good painting. These figures are pretty posable, and you can have a fun time just giving them different action poses.

Overall I'd highly endorse these to any collectors, as I'd advocate the remainder of the series. This figure is part of series three. If you notice some of the costs of the series one figures are beginning to go up. The second-hand value on these will be good, make no mistake. A great addition for collectors of DC or The Flash. DC direct makes these, so you know it is the best you are going to get. I bought these action figures for my four 0.5 year old girl. I picked this set as she wanted Batman and Superman ( already having her most favourite Spiderman ). That it came with Wonder Lady was a bonus as he sister would play with that one. The quality seems rather good and I'm keen on the flexible material for the capes. Joints in knees and elbow for Batman and Superman allow good manipulation. We have now acquired four sets of these action figures for when they lose one and fully need to have Wonder Lady to go to sleep with. They carry these everywhere. They stand up pretty well to being played with all of the time. They do not do well with being gnawed on, but that isn't too surprising, few toys do. To this point the damage to them after a good month and of hard playing : Batman and Flash have lost their ears, and Wonder Girl has lost an arm on one of the sets. But considering they carry them all of the time / chew on them a lot, that isn't all that bad. Considering the other Justice League toys they were given broke on the 1st day of play. These are great! My son, who just turned four, absolutely LOVED this present.

I would have liked to find something that may be small enough for him to stuff in a pocket or pack, and that revolved round his favourite super heroes.

Boy, did this fit the bill!!! Not only does it have almost all of his favorite characters, but it has 2 girls super heroes ( Wonder Lady and Hawk Girl ), which permits his bigger sister ( 6 ) to play with him. This figures are sturdy, poseable ( rather ), and are tiny enough for him to tote every one of them together wherever he is going.

Mr. Miracle, Forager, and Darkseid in the same package are a triumph regardless of what. I am satisfied to see Mr. Miracle and, particularly, Forager. He comes off looking very well painted and put together. But I was not all that impressed with the rest. The Mantis personality's costume is cool, but his face sculpt is off as is Lashina's ( she looks. Well, to be frank, she looks bad ). The sculpt on the remainder of the characters was good ( Mr. Miracle's was great ) : all of them look like they do in the JLU Animted series.

I felt the Superman figure, as he has been in so many other packages, wanted to have something else here. What is the point of putting the same Superman in this package that you can get in a JLU 3-Pack? What have him battle-damaged, at least,. Or something? And DC continues it's promoting ploys, including a personality or 2 that you will not get anyplace else that makes the package vital. I assume Mantis and Forager, as they are difficult to find anyplace else, make this one vital. Darkseid also looks colossally threatening and has the girth that he should have in the DC Universe, imposingly wide compared to the other action figures. All my qualms nothwithstanding, you may have a ton of fun with this collection whether you are playing with it or using for decoration. My five year old earned these with his allowance.

He's quite happy with them! He carries them everywhere with him and even has some to share with his four year old bro. It's got all of the main justice league good fellows, so we were pleased with that. Wonder Lady is the only 1 that turns at the waist, so we are attempting to be more careful with her, not to smash her in half ( we got a Flash like that that broke in half exiting the packaging ). Good set!

First appearing in The Brave and the Bold twenty-eight ( 1960 ), the League originally appeared with a line-up that incorporated Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and the Martian Manhunter. However, the team roster has been revolved throughout the years with characters like Green Arrow, Atom, Hawkman, Black Canary, Captain wonder, Zatanna, Plastic Man, and many others. Throughout the years, diverse incarnations or subsections of the team have also operated as Justice League America, Justice League Europe, Justice League international, Justice League Task Force, Justice League elite, and intense Justice.

Assorted comic series featuring the League have stayed typically well liked by fans since inception and in most incarnations, its roster includes DC's most popular characters. The League concept has also been changed into diverse other entertainment media, including the classic saturday morning Super buddies animated series ( 1973-1986 ), an unproduced Justice League of America live action series, and most recently animated series Justice League ( 2001-2004 ) and Justice League Unlimited ( 2004-2006 ). A live-action film was in the works in 2008 then was shelved.
