Dragonball Z

The very popular Dragon Ball Z action figures today originated from the fact that it has become the most watched series of manga ever since it was released in North America and Japan. It is truly read by a lot of people considering the fact that by the year 2007 there have been volumes of more than 150 million sold to people. As a matter of fact, the creators of this manga series realized that it was very popular and decided to start brand new series like One Piece and Naruto. The popularity of this anime series is truly undeniable since it also ranked as the 12^th in the category of the best series of anime during the year 2006 that is why it is no surprise that people and critics really praised the work done on the story, characters and the overall art of the series. Just recently during the year 2009, the creators started to show this show again under a new name: Dragon Ball Kai and it contained revised arts from the first version.

Because of the continuous popularity of this show, many companies already decided to go to the next level and produce different types of merchandises like card games, video games and the very popular Dragon Ball Z action figures.

All these created Dragon Ball Z action figures were patterned from the original illustrations from the manga series that were created by Akira Toriyama. It was inspired by a Chinese folk novel called Journey to the West that follows the adventures of the main character known as son Goku from the time that he was still an adolescent up to the point where he is already a middle-aged man. His trainings in martial arts were also included in the manga series as well as his exploration of the world in order to find the seven objects that are paranormal known as the Dragon Balls. These Dragon Balls are known to have the ability to summon a dragon that can grant whatever wish a person has. It is also documented in this series the people that son Goku meets along his journey in finding the balls and also the villains that he fights in order to be successful in his quest.

Truly, the achievement and the effect of Dragon Ball Z have already reached a whole new level ever since it was first released. And a clear indication of this is the proof that even action figures are considered as collectors’ items by those who got really attached to it.
