I like the series The Avatar and King Bumi isn't any doubt one of my favourite characters of the series.
I'm fully excited with the action figure so much so I haven't taken him out of the box yet! I never do that, it's ghastly I know that I should take him out and display him proudly but he just looks so nice in his box. : ) the sole things I am disappointed about are a selection of the color modifications from the web footage and the images on the packaging, but that is expected. Also I had was hoping for a bit more with the accessories. But over all it is a good toy and pretty accurate to the characters details. I'd counsel this toy to anyone that is hot for the show, adults and kids alike! Hope you like it and try to search for an honest price since this toy is on the rare side round the web. I snaffled this for $10 and $5 sh here on Amazon from a personal seller. I acquired this toy for my boy, for his 7th Birthday.
He plays with this toy more than anything else! APPA can say when you pretend to make him fly, and makes his battle noises.
Aang flies actually far, I might suggest that it's used by you outside unless you have vaulted ceilings! Extremely cool toy! All of my children attempt to play with it, they range from two to sixteen years! ( Not for tiny youngsters ) I got this for my four year old child for Xmas . He adores it now but we had 2 mishaps on the way to this point. Initially, it was tough for him, ( and me ) to work out the best way to get Aang to insert correctly into the hole in Appa's back. Also, ensure your youngsters know to stand clear when lauching Aang, as he goes fast and my boy has leaned over it 2 times while launching and gotten hit in the face with it. We adore this show, it's a bed time ritual for us to all pile up and watch at least one if not 2 episodes. When I saw this toy I presumed it'd be great. IT WAS. My child is three and we had to carry this everywhere we went after I brought it home for no less than a week. It's a bit tough to push Aang down in to Appa but I do not mind doing it for my kid to discover how excited he's to hear and see this toy work. I'm sure as he is getting older he's going to be ready to do it himself, then he will be able to really have a great time with it... GREAT toy, wish they'd more Avatar toys. My girl likes this toy. When we learned how to launch Aang, it absolutely was a great entertainment for both her and the cats.Aang flies a moderate distance, acceptable for indoor flying, and is sturdy enough to survive 1 person stepping on it.
The flyer shows indications of wear and the moggies would really like to play with it more frequently. The disadvantages I see are that you've got to have the Sound effects on to launch it, and the instructions were totally insufficient. It sat on the shelf new for many months as we simply didn't know to bump down tougher on the flying some of it.
Loading Aang does involve pushing against a powerful spring in an area that looks like it will not work.
It's more tutorial than I'd have anticipated too teaching bony momentum and the fundamentals of ballistic course. My boy received Appa and Aang as a Xmas present, and he was very pumped up about this present as he enjoys the cartoons massively, and has even gotten the remainder of us to enjoy the series. He enjoys the toy, but infrequently is a little hard to align the Aang personality into the slot for him, so apart from the occasional disappointment he enjoys this toy. We've even used it as a tool to help with eye hand coordination, showing him how to try and catch Aang, as he he soft enough not to harm him. I have 3 girls who love the show, Avatar the Last Airbender. And they fully love playing with their Avatar action figures, but I'm at a total loss to clarify to them why none of female main characters are available. Sokka has a sister named Kitara. An accomplished earth-bender named Toph who turns out to be a girl travels with the group. Where are these characters? So for the moment, I just wimp out tell them that they are not made yet.
And they add in a Polly Pocket named Kitara and another named Toph and play on. But this is getting mad. We are starting to wonder how obscure the male characters will get before Fisher Price produces a *main* female personality's action figure. So I am giving this four stars, because my children do love these action figures. But not five, as you can't create the entire "Team Avatar". "Team Boomer-Ang".
