12 Action Figure

12 Action FigureWhen you hear the word "doll," the very first thing that suggests itself is "Barbie". The major difference between dolls and 12" action figures is that the previous is orientated towards girls, while the second is orientated towards boys. Dolls usually include matching outfits while action figures usually include clothing and accessories that you may not see each day.

2 classic examples that spring to mind are Thundercats and G.I. Joe. Thundercats characters, while rather human-looking, were normally yellow or gray-tinted, with overdeveloped muscles ; their outfits consisted of tank tops or tights. Most Thundercats figures, whether feminine or masculine, included a weapon ; Lion-O, for instance, was packed with The Epee of Omens, a longsword with a fiery-red handle.

Look at Barbie. Since her inception in 1959, Barbie has been the definitive girls' toy, what with her interchangeable garments, pink cars, and Malibu Beach House fluctuations. Though the collection later included Ken, naturally, Ken was in no way an action figure. His garments, like those of Barbie, were typical daily outfits, even though ones that was manly. In comparison, your standard 12" action figure is muscly, particularly to an exaggerated degree, and might include weapons as accessories.

G.I. Joes, while not as muscular as the Thundercats, still looked physically fit and often included accessories like machine guns, knives, and grenades. Are you able to actually disagree that these were not designed for boys? That isn't to claim that girls never played with them, but that is not what the promoting firms were considering. Other well-liked dolls include Yank Girl and Ashton-Drake, each of which are also orientated towards young girls. Sometimes, some adults may collect dolls of this sort, due to their practical appearance and price, if kept in good shape.

Perhaps these figures were meant to try and appeal to the same boys that liked assertive competitive sports and war games. Today's action figures vary slightly, but again, their appearance in total is about the same. Maybe , even as times change, people's mindsets have a tendency to stay the same. The toys produced for girls and boys, for the main part, reflect this.

Another classic action figure collection that can are evoked is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, whose extremely name recommends action, and maybe violence. Like G.I. Joe and Thundercats, the Turtles, armor, and play sets with cars like tanks and artillery-studded cars. Again, while some girls may have found the Ninja Turtles appealing, they were basically well-liked by boys. The villains, too, were deformed and mutated ,eg Shredder and his sidekicks, Bebop and Rocksteady.
